NVQ Level 2 Plumbing Course

In order to be recognised as a fully-qualified plumber, you will need to achieve the NVQ Level 2 Plumbing qualification. Delivered in association with such awarding bodies as BPEC and City & Guilds, our NVQ Plumbing course is usually taken by students after completing the City & Guilds 6035 Level 2 Technical Diploma or BPEC Level 2 Technical Diploma. This is the final stage of your plumbing training (unless, after gaining your NVQ qualification, you choose to enrol on a gas training course and work towards joining the Gas Safe Register).

This NVQ 2 Plumbing course consists of a series of assessments that test your competency as a plumber in the workplace. Please note that these assessments take place outside of the Plumbing Academy’s training centre – your skills will be evaluated in a real working environment to ensure that you are ready for life as a professional plumber.

Our Level 2 Plumbing course is a great choice for trainee plumbers because it includes a guaranteed work assessment, allowing you to complete your plumbing portfolio and gain the NVQ qualification with ease.

With the NVQ Level 2 Plumbing qualification under your belt, you will officially be a fully-qualified plumber. This will allow you to either start your own plumbing business or find lucrative work with a larger plumbing company.

For more information on how to achieve this highly-regarded qualification, please get in touch and enquire about our NVQ 2 plumbing course today.

NVQ 2 Plumbing Course Details

We work with a number of awarding bodies, including City & Guilds and BPEC, to help our plumbing students to achieve the very highest level of industry qualification.

The NVQ Level 2 assessment itself is a combination of assessor observation, written reports, product assessment and verbal questioning.

You will be assessed and questioned on a number of different topics, including:
  • Health & Safety
  • Site Preparation
  • Pipework
  • Installation
  • Decommissioning
  • Maintenance
The actual evidence produced whilst on your NVQ 2 Plumbing course will depend on the type of work presented by the student via our guaranteed work assessment, but rest assured that we will help you to achieve your NVQ 2 in plumbing efficiently and quickly.

Who Should Apply?

The NVQ 2 Plumbing course is available only to those who have completed a City & Guilds 6035 Level 2 Technical Diploma or BPEC Level 2 Technical Diploma (or equivalent), as well as to those who have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the trade.

If you wish to find out more about our NVQ Level 2 Plumbing course, please feel free to contact us or come to your nearest training centre for a visit. You will be able to get a tour of our facilities and meet our tutors/assessors, who will be happy to answer any questions personally. We can also offer you support and advice in the completion of your NVQ Level 2 Plumbing portfolio.
