Thus the Efficiency for Domestic Heating Course has been designed to provide a detailed understanding of the connection between environmental damage and the installation of energy efficient appliances
By training with the Plumbing Academy, you’ll gain the knowledge and experience required to meet these regulations when maintaining and installing central heating.
Energy Efficiency Course DetailsYou will be given a comprehensive study pack to complete at home prior to starting the energy efficiency course. We recommend spending around 16 hours on this. Following that you will spend 1 day at our accredited training centre. Here our experienced staff will teach and assess you in the following areas;
- Energy usage and the environment
- Current legislation and building regulations
- Current energy efficiency guidance documents
- Guidance on installing high efficiency appliances
- Guidance to consumers
- Commissioning systems for maximum efficiency
Who Should Apply?While there are no official qualifications required for the energy efficiency course, it is aimed at approved installers of hot water and hot water heating boilers in domestic premises. Therefore it will be assumed that you have a detailed understanding of plumbing and experience within the industry.
