The IEE Regulations course will provide a detailed exploration of the Regulations, concentrating on their practical application on site. It is ideal preparation for the City & Guilds 2381 Examination.
Who would benefit?
The course is aimed at Plumbers, Kitchen Fitters, Heating Installers, DIY's and electrical personnel who design, install, inspect & test and maintain wiring systems. The course is intended for persons who are not familiar with the 16th Edition of the Regulations (BS7671) or may have studied the Regulations some time ago.
Course Content
The course consists of the following training modules designed to explain the Regulations in plain English and interpret their meaning:-
Induction. An introduction to the course.
Scope, Object and Fundamental Requirements for Safety. Who are the Regulations for and what are they meant to do. Definitions. Explanation of the terminology used in the Regulations.
Assessment of General Characteristics. Surveying the site and equipment to be installed.
Protection for Safety. Checking the installation for safety.
Selection and Erection. Choosing the right equipment for the job.
Special Locations. Areas where particular care is required.
Inspection & Testing. Is the installation safe to use?
Assessment. Have you understood?
Course Duration and Location
This 3-day course is available at The Plumbing Academy Edenbridge. If the City & Guilds examination is required, a further 1 evening attendance will be required.
Certification
Successful candidates are awarded an Update or CITB Certificate of Achievement as required, plus City & Guilds certification.
Course Literature
Each candidate will need copies of the IEE Regulations (BS7671) and IEE On-Site for the course and the examination.
