The LOGIC Solar Domestic Hot Water Heating Systems training course (run over 2 days) will allow you to extend your scope of work into the installation of the most common solar water heating systems found in the UK.
It is approved under the DTI’s Low Carbon Building Programme grant scheme. Your clients will then be able to apply for a grant towards their installation with you as a qualified installer. Successful candidates will be sent a certificate with an identity card from LOGIC
This Solar Domestic Hot Water Heating Systems training course is run over 2 days at The Plumbing Academy in Edenbridge. The course package includes a LOGIC Solar Domestic Hot Water Heating System training pack and a pre-course training manual which should be studied prior to attending the course. The content of the course will include:

•Design and choice of Solar Collectors
•Installation of Collectors
•Hot water storage
•Design of system
•Layout of system
•Preparing to install system
•Control and power requirements
•System Commissioning
•Candidate assessment
Applicants to this course must possess one of the following qualifications:
•S/NVQ 2 or Advanced Craft in Plumbing, Heating & Ventilation or gas service.
•ACS certificates in CCN1 and CEN1 and a Unvented Hot Water Storage Systems certificate or evidence that you are undertaking study.
Non skilled candidates who have good knowledge such as architects, specifiers, etc, can attend, but will not be eligible for certificates or cards of competence.
The course cost is £324.60 including study material, registration fees and VAT.
