Due to the lack of suitably skilled manpower, the government has approved part-funded apprenticeship programmes (with age restrictions in certain categories). Applicants can be from any background whatsoever (holding a basic standard of numeracy and literacy) and train to become a fully qualified “DOMESTIC INSTALLER” in months, progressing to “APPROVED CONTRACTOR” (domestic, commercial and industrial) status and benefit from the rewards due to the upsurge in the industry.
