This course contains the Domestic Gas Safety ACS Assessments which is made up of a Core Safety Assessment (CCN1), which all ACS operatives must undertake successfully; as well as a range of Appliance Assessments, which operatives can opt to undertake as necessary.
From April 2012 the CCN1 now includes the CPA1 as part of the CCN1 training programme and assessment.
Depending on the needs of the student the course duration varies between 3 to 5 days if refresher training is required.
The Core Domestic Gas Safety Course – CCN1 Assessment covers Gas Safety Legislation, Gas Emergency Action and Procedures, and all necessary safety aspects for when conducting Gas work, including the installation, maintenance and testing of gas systems, and identifying unsafe situations and from April 2012 now includes the CPA1 .
The Assessment is conducted over 3 days. Refresher training is available if required. If training is required this is conducted over 2 days, on the third day the theory exams are taken with practical assessments on days four and five.
Applicants should be either existing Gas Safe Engineers who need to renew their ticket or students who have completed their gas portfolios.
The cost of the CCN1 assessment is £431.00 including certification fee and VAT. If training is required this will cost an additional £264.00 including VAT.
